Strat Update

Ok, so after a lot of research and thought, I decided to make a few changes to my strat. I am going to eliminate one of the t

one knobs, put in a tone selector switch to handle both of the tone caps that I couldn't decide which one sounded best. I decided also to go about the series parallel a different way. Before I used to get a dead spot, and it didn't really sound like I was in parallel, when I was. So I decided to give this wiring a shot, and see if I like it. As you can see, the neck and middle are wired like a series parallel switch on a Les Paul. I then made a second series parallel switch to send the combined NM to the Bridge. I don't exactly know how this will sound, but I'll give a shot and see what happens. I also decided to put this after the on off switches instead of before. We will see how it goes.

I bought some really nice push pull pots from Stew Mac for about $10 each. They are CTS push pulls with the front circuit board. We'll see how they do.

I also picked up a couple of Chinese hot rails for about $10. I thought I'd give them a try. They have nearly the same output as my vintage noiseless. We'll see how they do and get back to you.

I also am going to try my hand at metal work. I am going to see if I can make this pick guard out of metal and plexiglass. This is a new idea, and I don't know if it will actually work. I'm not the best at using my dremel tool. It might just be a waste of metal. I don't know.
